SUMMARY
Description contributed by Graham Kinsey, based on Wehmeyer (1933).
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: stromata with host surface usually heavily blackened or encrusted or ± masked by the epidermis, blackened spots limited in area to 2-20 mm diam or widely effuse, smaller spots margined by a raised ridge, such ridges often running irregularly in the larger areas. Ascomata 280-480 µm diam, scattered singly. Ascospores 9-15 x 2.5-3.5 µm, tardily septate.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong within the D. arctii aggregate.
