SUMMARY

Anamorph: Phomopsis sp. Alpha-conidia 15-27 x 2.5-5 µm; beta-conidia 10-15 x 1-1.5 µm.
Teleomorph: stromata on host surface as conical pustules with central greyish to blackened discs, 1-1.5 mm diam. and containing a compact cluster of ostioles, entostroma pustulate effuse, dorsal zone definite and dipping into the bark between the perithecial clusters. Ascomata 320-640 x 320-480 µm, clustered within the pustulate areas beneath the ectostroma, ostioles stout-cylindrical. Asci 60-70 x 8-10 µm, clavate. Ascospores 13-18 x 2.5-5.5 µm, fusiform-ellipsoidal, constricted at the septum.
