SUMMARY
Description contributed by Graham Kinsey, CABI, based on Wehmeyer (1933).
Anamorph: Phomopsis jasmini (Cooke) Traverso (1906). Alpha-conidia 9-10 x 3 µm; beta-conidia 18-20 x 1 µm.
Teleomorph: Stromata as blackened areas where exposed or as barely erumpent ostioles, with a faint black zone line. Ascomata ca 300 µm diam., globose, ostioles cylindrical. Asci 40-50 x 5 µm. Ascospores cylindrical, constricted at the septum, acute at both ends, 4-guttulate.
Although not seen, Wehmeyer considered this probably a form of D. eres.
