SUMMARY

Anamorph: Phomopsis baccharidis Grove (1935).
Teleomorph: Stromata appearing on the host surface as numerous minute blackening papillae, dorsal blackening irregularly present or absent, ventral zone definite. Ascomata 320-360 x 160-240 µm, irregularly and singly scattered, ostioles short-cylindrical and separately but barely erumpent. Ascospores 15-18 x 3-4 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this to belong with D. sarothamni (as a variety). Only known from the anamorph in GB & I. No measurements were given for the anamorph.
