SUMMARY
Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascomata perithecial, almost completely immersed in the host thallus, globose, ostiole slightly papillate. Peridium greenish black in the upper part, slightly paler and thinner below. Interascal tissue of narrow filiform anastomosing pseudoparaphyses. Asci cylindrical to cylindric-clavate, fissitunicate with an inconspicuous ocular chamber, not blueing in iodine, 4- to 8-spored. Ascospores arranged biseriately, (17-) 21-27 x 5-7 µm, caudate, 1-septate, the attenuated lower cell about twice the length of the upper cell, hyaline, thin-walled, ? without a gelatinous sheath or appendages.
