Thallus thin, dark, often appearing as little more than a dark stain.
Anamorph: ?unknown.
Teleomorph: Ascomata apothecial. Apothecia 0.1-0.2 mm diam., scattered or a few clustered, black. Disc slightly generally remaining flat. Proper margin thin and slightly raised. True exciple green-black throughout. Epithecium dark brown to green-black. Hymenium 30-40 µm tall. Hypothecium colourless. Ascospores 7-10 × 2.3-3.5 µm.
