Anamorph: conidiomata pycnidia, 170-210 µm diam., epiphyllous, immersed in large clusters within necrotic host leaf spots, ± globose, minutely papillate and hardly erumpent. Peridium composed of 3-4 layers of dark brown fairly thin-walled globose cells to 8 µm diam., the inner layer ± hyaline and flattened. Conidiophores absent. Conidiogenous cells in a palisade lining the inner surface of the conidiomatal wall, 4-6 µm diam., ± globose, the apex hardly attenuated, proliferating percurrently, periclinal thickening and collarette not seen. Conidia (4-) 4.5-6 x 2-2.5 µm, ellipsoidal, slightly irregular in shape, aseptate, hyaline, thin-walled, smooth, without an epispore, gelatinous sheath or appendages. Teleomorph: not known.
