SUMMARY
Ascomata 110-200 µm diam, 80-110 µm high, oblate, the neck 40-100 µm long and to 80 µm diam, lateral, sometimes forming two necks that emerge from opposite leaf surfaces. Peridium thin, 8-10 µm thick, formed of three layers of cells. Asci 42-56 x 8-13 µm, clavate to ellipsoidal, the base evanescent, with a refractive apical ring to 3.5 µm diam, 8-spored. Ascospores arranged biseriately, (11-) 14-21 x 3-4 (-5) µm, with a septum near the base (cell size ratio ca 6:1).
