Anamorph: not known.
Teleomorph: ascostromata perithecial, not stromata, strongly aggregated in swarms on dead host tissues, 60-75(-80) µm diam., ± globose, immersed with the ostiolar region slightly papillate. Peridium composed of 2-3 layers of fairly thin-walled mid brown angular cells 7-11 µm diam., thicker-walled and more strongly pigmented in the ostiolar region. Interascal tissue absent. Asci 27-32 x 7-9 µm, ovoid-cylindrical with the upper part extended, ± sessile, the apex rounded, thick-walled and fissitunicate with a fairly inconspicuous ocular chamber, 8-spored.
