Anamorph: conidiomata sporodochia, 50-150 µm diam, convex but finally concave to crateriform, black, rounded or slightly elongated, not confluent, growing on bleached areas of the host thallus. Vegetative hyphae hyaline or slightly brownish. Conidiophores agglomerated, making details of conidiogenesis difficult to determine. Conidiogenous cells terminal, strongly pigmented. Conidia 11-21 x 8-15 µm, of variable shape, dark brown, 2- to 4-celled, with a very thick wall and roughly lacerate-granulose ornamentation.
