Anamorph: unknown.
Teleomorph: Stromata with surface of host leaves ± blackened, entostroma variable in extent but irregular in outline, ventral zone present within leaf or the entire thickness of leaf is entostromatic and both surfaces of leaf are ± blackened. Ascomata scattered singly. Ascospores 10-13 x 2.5-4 µm.
Wehmeyer considered this species to belong to the D. pardalota aggregate.
